Tyler is in the 2nd year of his Level 3 Electrotechnical and Maintenance Apprenticeship, having joined Munro Building Services in August 2023 .

In April 2024, Tyler competed in the NET Skill Electric National Heats.

Starting with 300 applicants, Tyler was in the top 100 of applicants that were chosen to compete in the National Heats.
