Munro analyse our scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions to understand our impact on climate change. With this firm understanding, we are better placed to target areas for improvement, which include waste reduction, fuel sourcing and transport strategy. Furthermore, sourcing locally from our supply chain and understanding key suppliers’ carbon impact, assists us in reducing our Scope 3 emissions.
We implement sustainable solutions in all our projects to meet client aspirations. One of note was the implementation of a photovoltaic system on the Kings College Chapel roof, a sensitive project on a famous heritage site of which we are proud to have supported Barnes Construction.
We aim to recruit from our local community and promote the construction industry in general by investing in apprenticeships to encourage local employment.
We are proud to boast the region’s leading apprenticeship programme and currently have 27 apprentices within our business with an aim to recruit a further 12 in 2026.
