Hadar project teams provided research space and a toxicology unit for the University of Cambridge.
The building consists of a new wet and dry laboratory space, support space, an imaging suite, write up spaces, shared meeting rooms, cafeteria and admin space.
It was critical during the works that the needs of Lilley Group were maintained whilst they remained in occupation. This was achieved by a collaborative approach with Munro and the project team meeting frequently with the Client, promoting clear and concise communication.
Munro installed services across the three floors, including lab gases, ventilation (natural ventilation and fume extract), heating and chilled, domestics, small power, lighting, lighting controls, fire, security, BMS and IT services.
This achieved a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ Rating exceeding the targeted ‘Very Good’ set during design.
