Project Gemma

Adjoining the Addenbrooke's Centre for Clinical Investigation (ACCI), this new building will provide the Cambridge Biomedical Campus with additional capacity and enhanced capability to translate fundamental biomedical research into clinical research that benefits patients.

The building provides an Education Centre and private hospital. Constructed under the codename of Project Gemma, the building is sub-divided into five zones, namely early-phase trials, interventional investigation, clinical research, eating behaviours (metabolic) and support areas.

The highly serviced clinical rooms are located within a central "core" zone, whilst the administration, recovery and social functions are set around the perimeter to maximise the use of natural light and ventilation.
