Located within the Horizon 120 Business and Innovation Park, the Plaza is a new enterprise centre providing accommodation and support to local businesses.

The Councils core strategy sought to provide significant additional jobs and support local employment in the district. The Plaza building fulfils Braintree District Council’s vision for the Horizon 120 “Hub Facility”, creating a new prominent, public interface building for the benefit of the broader business park and wider community, setting the standard for the ongoing development at Horizon 120.

The centre is a circa 2800m2 facility, providing flexible office and workshop spaces for local startups and SME’s. The three-storey building features two key sections connected via a glazed link. Building 1 is made up of small and medium sized offices to facilitate the needs of small, growing businesses. Building 2 contains a café area, conference rooms, open plan events spaces and a terrace to the second level, overlooking the country park, encouraging outside working.

Munro provided a complete MEP solution for the facility including design and installation of VRF heating and cooling systems, localised MVHR ventilation, power, lighting, security and BMS Controls.
