Guru Nanak Darbar, Gurdwara, Gravesend

Munro Building Services enjoyed a close working relationship with the project team on this impressive building and undertook the electrical installation. The works included distribution, lighting (including colour changing LED lighting to the external domes), power, mechanical supply and extract, fire alarms and IT infrastructure.

This four domed Sikh Temple on an 8.5-acre site was commissioned entirely by the local community of Gravesend in Kent, and is one of the largest Gurdwara complexes built outside of India.

The building has spaces for worship, community events and education. Facilities include a dining hall, kitchen, main lobby, library, lecture theatre and creche for the community to enjoy.

The Gurdwara opened to the community after two years and cost £15m to construct.
