Munro Building Services completed refurbishment of the existing kitchen facilities which were housed in an area of the College known as the "Old House", a Grade II listed building. 

One of the key objectives for the College was to improve its dated facilities whilst enhancing the operational efficiency of the kitchen and catering function at the College.

Our works involved the complete strip out of the current MEP services and re-fitting with new which would connect back into the existing MEP infrastructure.

Retrofitting a kitchen and servery into a Grade II listed building required careful spatial planning. Munro closely collaborated with the kitchen designer and our supply chain to ensure challenging areas such as the ductwork were planned and co-ordinated in such a way as to ease the installation into the existing historic building.

In addition, many of the buildings surrounding the "Old House" remained in occupation, therefore careful logistics and respectful working practices were adopted during construction.
