Munro provided M&E services to the project which were installed to the exposed soffit of the building.
Mechanically, the services ranged from a ventilation system employing displacement ventilation and common extract to provide maximum comfort for all users.
This was in addition to air conditioning and a trench heating system which was installed to the perimeter of the building, all under the control of a BMS.
The building utilises high efficiency low water content gas fired boilers, air handling units and chiller units to provide the heating and cooling for the building.
The building's curved design presented installation challenges - faceted bends were used for containment to achieve a neat finish along with detailed setting out and coordination of the installation to achieve the desired finish.
The space under the raised flooring system was extremely tight for the amount of services, requiring careful planning of the installation and utilising 3D drawings.
