Munro Supports Local Charities with Annual Golf Day

The Annual Golf Day for Munro Building Services held this year at Ely City Golf Club is more than a simple summers day out for the staff. Not only is this annual treat a great chance for the Munro family to get together and play golf, we also take this opportunity to raise some cash for charities near and dear to the company’s heart.

Every year, we attempt to raise as much as possible for our chosen charities through a number of fundraising ideas. This year’s golf day saw funds raised through a raffle and auction, not to mention some fines along the way for a few hapless golfers.

The generosity of the Munro staff and sponsors exceeded all expectations when they raised over £1,000.00 for the charities.

The money was split between two local charities, close to the North and South offices of Munro. The first was Maggie’s in Cambridge which provides free support programmes and information for suffering from cancer or those with loved ones who are sick.

Meanwhile the Farleigh Hospice, which provides hospice care to those affected by life limiting illnesses across mid Essex, received the other half of the donation

Nigel Green, Munro’s associate director and event organiser said:
