Community Benefit - Arthur Rank Hospice Project

At Munro, it is always a pleasure to be a supply chain partner involved with a project that goes on to win awards. It is even more exciting and moving when it is a healthcare client, like the Arthur Rank Hospice, which is so important to many people in our local community.

The hospice has been shortlisted for a RICS Award under the Community Benefit category, where we provided both the mechanical and electrical installation for this project alongside the main contractor, Barnes Construction and LSI Architects.

The RICS Awards showcase the most innovative and inspirational developments across land, real estate, construction and infrastructure.

Dr Lynn Morgan, CEO of the Arthur Rank Hospice Charity has spoken highly of the new build:

“It will make an enormous difference: there’s just so much space and so much light. For years, our staff had delivered excellent care, working around the limits of the building we had at the Mill Road site.”

“This new purpose-building works with them. The rooms are wider, the corridors are wider, and we can take more patients. We’ve got many rooms and facilities for patients than we’ve ever had before.”

“We’re really delighted everyone who has seen and experienced the space is really wowed by it.”

The results will be in on 10 May 2017 at The Apex, Bury St Edmunds. For further information on the RICS Awards and to see who else in East Anglia has been nominated, click here.
